If the employee is unable to read or write in English, the form provides the option of having a translation or legal preparer complete the form on the employee’s behalf.

- Must have worked on or before November 6, 1986 (or Nov. 27, 2007, in the Republic of North Mariana Islands), as well as an affordable assumption of employment at any time.

- Used by specialists who offer agreement solutions such as a temp agency.
- Not working with U.S. dirt.
If you are self-employed, your I-9 forms won’t be required.
