Who Uses An I9 Form 2021?
All new employees will need to complete an i9 2021 form during their first day of work. Within three days of an employee’s first day at work, the employer must verify his or her qualifications and acknowledgment files. The I-9 Form also needs to be tape-recorded.
The form allows the employee to request a translator or legal professional to complete the form for them if they are unable or unwilling to read English.
You must fill out 2021 I-9 if you are or were one of the following:
- You must be employed before or on Nov. 6, 1986 or on or after Nov. 27, 2007, if you are still working in the Republic of North Mariana Islands.
- You can do laid-back residential operations in your own home.
- An independent specialist.
- Utilized by a specialist supplying agreement solutions, such as a temp agency.
- Not working with U.S. dirt.
If you’re self-employed, you won’t be required to provide your own I-9 form.
